To be honest, not much. Both mean selling stuff with words. Sales copy is all about compelling people to buy your product or service. Conversion copy is also about moving people to take action. It’s not always to make a sale, but often is.
Is a sales page the same thing as a landing page?
In a way, yes, because they’re both focused on a single goal. Your sales page has the job of selling one key product or service. Whereas the role of a landing page generally doesn’t involve making a sale. Instead, it might be a page offering an email sign-up or registration for your webinar.
What is SEO, and why does my sales page need it?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It’s the process of combining certain factors to rank higher in Google searches for chosen key phrases.
SEO copywriting is a big part of that puzzle, strategically weaving SEO keywords into your human-centric sales page, so it gets Google’s attention. Because who doesn’t want to encourage more organic traffic to their sales page!?
